DUBSTEPPERS FOR HAITI

Have you been sat in front of your box and seen the news about Haiti? Thought to yourself, 'Shit, that's bad'.. ? Wanted to help but not really sure how? Well now you can, thanks to this massive release from Betamorph Records. Donate some coins for a really good cause, and in return get some tunes that you're gran might even skank to.

News of the release has already spread to all levels of the dubstep music scene. The compassion and haste with which it was organized has inspired unity throughout the community with a positive energy to make a difference. There has already been extensive social media coverage and support from prominent individuals.

DeeJ, the man behind Dubsteppers for Haiti and Betamorph Recordings, also owned by Megatron and SymbL, has been inspired by the altruistic approach of his peers. Moved by the distressing images he witnessed of the destruction, and his own humanitarian philosophy, he was motivated to make a difference in the best way he knew how: gathering the support of his artistic community.

Dubsteppers for Haiti wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible hard work and swift execution of Symbl, Betamorph’s skillful mastering engineer who has also worked for labels such Savory Audio, Dubfront, Stupid Fly, Abducted, Bassweight, Bass Punch, Dirty Circuit, Filthy Digital, Dub Cartel, Twenty Twelve, and Dubsaw and also released his own LP on TRiLLBASS Digital Recordings. Betamorph also relies on the unique style of Megatron, the graphic artist responsible for the distinctive and popular science fiction imagery that compliments the label’s sound.

The spirit of collaboration inherent in this fundraiser shows that Betamorph’s futuristic perspective is also an ethereal manifestation of concern for the needs of our own planet.

With such a massive response from the dubstep community, the first release has made around $1000 in just 5 days, which means that AmeriCares will be able to provide around $35,000 in aid to the people who need it most, and this aid will come to fruition as soon as 1st February.

With many artists being inspired by the initial release, Volume 2 is on it's way, along with 3 & 4, including artists such as 12th Planet, Matty G, DZ, Stagga, Babylon System, Orien, Total Recall, Ultrablack, Trill Bass, Charlie P, Dan Wall, Ollie Bassweight, Sook, Boot, Magenta, DLX, Kelly Dean, Kid Logic, Richie August, and the list goes on!

In such a short time, Dubsteppers For Haiti has achieved something very special, their aim is now to raise about $10,000 and then find someone associated with NPR to match that amount. This would result in a massive $700,000 in aid. So dubsteppers, get on it and help the cause!
