LE VASTLE VANIA - NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE

Le Castle Vania (Atlanta) has always been considered a major contender when it comes to producing contagious, groovy, and crisp electro tracks which is partly why there was soo much excitement over his last release. "Nobody Gets Out Alive" on Always Never / So Sweet label back in November of 09 was straight business, without a doubt one of the hardest tracks we've heard him come with (besides Zero Machine).  His remixes are phenomenal, but after this last track I think we're all wondering what sort of original material he's going to drop next. He showed us (again) with this latest single that not only does he have what it takes to make our ears bleed beats, but he likes doing it. Well we're crossing my fingers and hoping for a full EP this year, but seriously when it comes to Le Castle Vania - Anything is good.

With no further ado, here is

"NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE"
TRACK & VIDEO

Also recently, Le Castle Vania / Always Never / So Sweet Records / & Deter Clothing has mingled minds to create a super limited edition t-shirt - that is SICK. If you havnt had a chance to check out this print, here it is. Show your love and pick up one of these before they're gone for good!

DUBSTEPPERS FOR HAITI

Have you been sat in front of your box and seen the news about Haiti? Thought to yourself, 'Shit, that's bad'.. ? Wanted to help but not really sure how? Well now you can, thanks to this massive release from Betamorph Records. Donate some coins for a really good cause, and in return get some tunes that you're gran might even skank to.

News of the release has already spread to all levels of the dubstep music scene. The compassion and haste with which it was organized has inspired unity throughout the community with a positive energy to make a difference. There has already been extensive social media coverage and support from prominent individuals.

DeeJ, the man behind Dubsteppers for Haiti and Betamorph Recordings, also owned by Megatron and SymbL, has been inspired by the altruistic approach of his peers. Moved by the distressing images he witnessed of the destruction, and his own humanitarian philosophy, he was motivated to make a difference in the best way he knew how: gathering the support of his artistic community.

Dubsteppers for Haiti wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible hard work and swift execution of Symbl, Betamorph’s skillful mastering engineer who has also worked for labels such Savory Audio, Dubfront, Stupid Fly, Abducted, Bassweight, Bass Punch, Dirty Circuit, Filthy Digital, Dub Cartel, Twenty Twelve, and Dubsaw and also released his own LP on TRiLLBASS Digital Recordings. Betamorph also relies on the unique style of Megatron, the graphic artist responsible for the distinctive and popular science fiction imagery that compliments the label’s sound.

The spirit of collaboration inherent in this fundraiser shows that Betamorph’s futuristic perspective is also an ethereal manifestation of concern for the needs of our own planet.

With such a massive response from the dubstep community, the first release has made around $1000 in just 5 days, which means that AmeriCares will be able to provide around $35,000 in aid to the people who need it most, and this aid will come to fruition as soon as 1st February.

With many artists being inspired by the initial release, Volume 2 is on it's way, along with 3 & 4, including artists such as 12th Planet, Matty G, DZ, Stagga, Babylon System, Orien, Total Recall, Ultrablack, Trill Bass, Charlie P, Dan Wall, Ollie Bassweight, Sook, Boot, Magenta, DLX, Kelly Dean, Kid Logic, Richie August, and the list goes on!

In such a short time, Dubsteppers For Haiti has achieved something very special, their aim is now to raise about $10,000 and then find someone associated with NPR to match that amount. This would result in a massive $700,000 in aid. So dubsteppers, get on it and help the cause!

THE ONE

Grime music is defined by Wikipedia as, “a sub-genre of urban music which first emerged in London in the early 2000s, primarily a development of UK garage, drum and bass, dancehall and hip hop. The music is typified by sparse and minimalist 2-step breakbeats, generally around 130-140 beats per minute, and an aggressive and fast rapping style – often in double time. The lyrics and music combine futuristic electronic elements; and dark, guttural, growling bass lines.”

THE KIDCITY KIDS

SO TODAY I WAS SPEAKING WITH MY GOOD FRIEND TAYLOR FROM KID CITY, AND MAN I'M EXCITED FOR WHAT HE'S GOING TO BRING TO THE TABLE IN 2010. HONESTLY  TAYLOR GREAT JOB ON YOUR SUCESS!! WELL HE WAS TALKING TO ME ABOUT THIS DUDE
 AND THIS IS WHAT HE SAID;
"So as the new year moves on, one of our personal resolutions was to drop a 'kidcity presents' digital record release. We have been pushing are good friend, Jason Sundstrom, for this EP and finally got the results we were looking for. This kid is brilliant, and for only being 20 years old, his production skills far exceed his age. Featuring four originals (Perplexed, Pervert, Revolution, & Generation) and citing multiple influences across the electronic spectrum, this EP moves from Jason's previous traditional "hard electro" style towards a more big room tech/house influenced sound that will surely create fire in the club.
We are releasing a teaser of the 4 track EP to a few of our favorite blogs. The official drop date is the 19th. It'll be up on the kidcity for FREE, yea that's right, completely free. If you can hype this up as much as possible before its official release, we'd really appreciate it!" -TAYLOR

WITH THAT SAID DOESN'T IT GET YOU EXCITED FOR WHAT THEY HAVE IN STORE FOR US!! SO YOU KIDS MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THEIR BLOG AND MAKE SURE YOU SPREAD THE WORD ON THESE MASTERPIECES COMING SOON.
THANKS A MILLION!!!
NOW FOR WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR...
