BIRD P HAS BEEN IN THE SCENE FOR AWHILE NOW, BUT I FIRST CAME ACROSS HIM ACOUPLE MONTHS AGO WIT HIS BANGER " THE ESSENCE "...WHEN HE DOES THE DROP AT THE 1:47 MARK...IT MAKES ME WANA GET DOWN, LISTEN FOR YOURSELF AND HERES A QUICK BIO OF HIM:Texas producer Bird Peterson, aka Andrew Hoke, hails from Austin Texas. The self proclaimed “Wizard Of The Dance Scene” has swarmed the clubs, radio, and even the interweb hard and long and hard, using blogs like Discobelle, Awwready.edu, and Hollertown to spread a bevy of remixes and originals, influenced by Baltimore club, hot jams, nu-skool bass, jump-up, more hot jams, and screwed-down hot jams.
Before moving to Austin, Peterson had started producing in his native Houston, quickly becoming a favorite at the Pop Trunk Olympics. Bird wondered if there was more to life than simply popping trunk on them boys. So seven years later, he has two albums (Give Em Hell, Bird! and Hot Noise), six super vinyls (including Your Parents Are Still Making Sweet Love and Computer Jams), and a whole MESS of remixes out there, including acts like Jet, MSTRKRFT, Malente, Tittsworth, Ocelot, The Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, Chicago, The AKAs, Cupid and many, MANY more. His tracks have been played by everyone from Diplo to Crookers, from Hot Chip to MSTRKRFT. He has shared the stage with them ‘KRFT boys, Dave Nada, Tittsworth, Hot Chip, Klever, Scottie B, the Rub, DJ Craze, Dirty South Joe, Wolfgang Gartner, Ocelot, Bloody Beetroots, Blaqstarr, and a virtual cavalcade of others. and many more! He has recently released his “Silver Years Best Of”, his chart topping “Ghostboat”, and is currently hard at work on his next two vinyl EPs, his third album,and debut releases by Wizard School, Praddaman, and Bill Peppertown & The America Boys.
